ODESSA, Missouri - Scott Fraser, from Shubenacadie, Nova Scotia, will take the green flag for Saturday nights ASARacing .com 300 at I-70 Speedway in Odessa from the inside of the eight row. Fraser, driver of the No. 00 King Freight Lines Chevrolet, is glad to be qualified in the race from the qualifying time trials and looks forward to an action-packed race on the high-banked 0.543-mile D-shaped oval.
"This is the most steeply banked track we've run on this year," said Fraser of the track with turns banked at 28 degrees in the corners. "It lends itself to a lot of speed and we're looking forward to an exciting race."
Robbie Pyle, Columbus, Ohio, had the fastest time (16.743 seconds) around the track and will start from the pole position on Saturday night. Mike Garvey will be second, Johnny Sauter third, Rick Beebe fourth and Joey Clanton fifth.
The ASARacing.com 300 is the ninth race on the 20-race 2001 ASA schedule. Fraser is currently 11th overall in national point standings.
