FRASER STARTING 17TH IN TIRES.COM 300
IRWINDALE, Cal. (March 9) – Scott Fraser, the "Shubie Shuttle", will line up 17th on the 38-car starting field
for the American Speed Association Tires.com 300 at Irwindale Speedway this Saturday night.
Fraser, from Shubenacadie, Nova Scotia, had one of the fastest cars in pre-qualifying practice sessions and feels he will have a strong car in the race.
"We had more in the car for qualifying," said Fraser, driver of the No. 00 King Freight Lines Chevrolet.
"The track changed after practice and we weren't sure which way the car was going to react, so we decided a safe, conservative
lap was the way to go. We're in the show and that's what counts. This is a big, wide track with lots of room to pass - that's a good thing."
ASA veteran Butch Miller, from Michigan, will start from the top spot, with Kevin Cywinski, Johnny Sauter, Joey Clanton and Gary St. Amant rounding out the top five starters.
The Tires.com 300 will be telecast live on TNN at 9 pm EST.
