FRASER HAS BAD DAY AT TOLEDO
TOLEDO, Ohio - Scott Fraser's recent run of bad luck in American Speed Assocaition (ASA) action continued in Sunday's Glass City 300 at Toledo Speedway. Fraser was involved in a wreck early in the race when a car spun ahead of him. His No. 00 King Freight Lines Chevrolet crew made repairs while keeping him on the lead lap but another crash in front of Fraser on lap 47 ended the day for the Shubenacadie, N.S. native.
Unofficial ASA results show Fraser's finish as 33rd. Wisconsin's Johnny Sauter was the winner. Gary St. Amant was second and Mike Garvey was third.
Round 11 of the 20-race ASA schedule goes next Sunday at Chicago Motor Speedway.

FRASER 15TH ON TOLEDO GRID
TOLEDO, Ohio - Scott Fraser will cross the start line for Sunday's Toledo 300 in the 15th spot. The race marks the half-way point of the 2001 American Speed Association (ASA) season.
Butch Miller, Coopersville, Michigan, will start from the top spot, winning the pole position in time trials with a fast lap of 16.585 seconds around the half-mile oval. Fraser's fast lap in his No. 00 King Freight Lines Chevrolet was 16.927 seconds.
The Glass City 300 will be telecast live on TNN at 1 p.m. ET.

FRASER SET FOR RETURN TO TOLEDO
TOLEDO, Ohio - Scott Fraser will finally see a familiar race track when he enters the Toledo Speedway for this Sunday's Glass City 300. The event is round 10 of 20 races on the 2001 American Speed Association (ASA) schedule, but so far this year Fraser has yet to race on familiar ground.
Fraser passed more cars than any other driver in the Toledo race in 2000, starting his No. 00 King Freight Lines Chevrolet 37th with a provisional after qualifying was rained out. By lap 142 he was in the lead, holding the point for 21 circuits around the half-mile oval and ending the day in the eighth spot.
"We liked the track," said Fraser, from Shubenacadie, N.S. "We had a good set-up for the car, too. It will be good to get to a place where we'll have some notes that will give us a head start on the practice sessions."
After the first nine races of this ASA season, Fraser sits 11th overall in national point standings. Butch Miller, from Michigan, holds the points lead.
Practice and qualifying for the Glass City 300 are set for Saturday, with the race Sunday at 1 p.m. ET. The Glass City 300 will be telecast live on TNN.
