EASTER BREAK GIVES FRASER CHANCE TO VISIT WITH HOMETOWN MEDIA (4/12/01)

HALIFAX, N.S. - The two-weekend hiatus on the American Speed Association (ASA) schedule gave Scott Fraser the opportunity to visit with several members of the Nova Scotia media.
Fraser, from Shubenacadie, N.S., returned home directly following his fifth-place finish in the ASA race at South Boston Speedway in Virginia on April 7.
His lead in the ASA Rookie standings and being seventh in national driver standings on the prestigious U.S. circuit has placed the spotlight on Fraser, who conducted four interviews: two television and two newspaper.
"We really appreciate the support everyone has given us," said Fraser. "Especially the media from home. They've really been great at keeping up with us and keeping people informed as we travel the ASA circuit."
The other bonus to Fraser with the current break is in enjoying Easter weekend with his family.
"We try to take advantage of every chance to get home these days," said Fraser. "Easter is a time when the family gets together. Heck, my mom still hides Easter eggs."
Fraser returns to racing action April 28 at Hawkeye Downs Speedway in Cedar Rapids, Iowa for race number five of 20 on the 2001 ASA schedule.
