FRASER SCORES TOP 10 AT MONTGOMERY
MONTGOMERY, Ala. - Scott Fraser's 10th place finish in the Actionline 300 at Montgomery Motor Speedway was his fourth top 10 in six outings on the 2001 American Speed Association (ASA) circuit.
"We had a better car than that today and we were getting ready to make a run at the end of the race," said Fraser, Shubenacadie, Nova Scotia. "We were in sixth place when we developed a problem with the engine. It was something electrical, I guess. It's a shame because we had just got the car right when the engine miss developed."
Fraser started his No. 00 King Freight Lines Chevrolet in the 300-lap race from the 17th spot, running as high as sixth.
Kevin Cywinski, Wausau, Wis., won the race, followed by Mike Miller, Johnny Sauter, Butch Miller and Gary St. Amant.
With next week being an off week for the ASA, Fraser returns to his home track in Nova Scotia for their opening event for the 2001 season. Fraser will be at Scotia Speedworld May 12th for the inaugural CARQUEST Pro Stock Tour race, The Daily News 100.
Fraser returns to ASA action with round seven of 20 on May 20th at Concord Motorsport Park in North Carolina.
