American Speed Association
"The Great American Dream Series"
Long known as "The Great American Dream Series," the American Speed
Association consistently provides some of the most intense short track racing
in the country to competitors, sponsors and race fans.
For competitors, ASA means great racing on a level playing field where
cutting-edge technology is the norm. For sponsors, ASA means having fun while
receiving invaluable national television exposure, gaining market share and
strengthening one's corporate image and relationships with consumers,
customers and potential clients through flexible, custom-designed marketing
and sponsorship packages. ASA's 2001 television coverage package is certainly
the best in the series' 34-year history. The 2001 ASA Series broadcast
schedule calls for live telecasts of all events, with ASA broadcast partner
TNN Sports carrying all 20 races. TNN is available in more than 78.1 million
homes throughout the continental United States and Canada and penetrates at
least 94.7 percent of the households capable of receiving cable or satellite transmissions.
For the race fans, ASA represents affordability and accessibility. It is one
of the best entertainment bargains in racing. No other stock car circuit
offers bumper-to-bumper, fender-to-fender, nail-biting action (with pit
stops) and the exclusive opportunity to meet the stars of today and tomorrow
on the track prior to the race.
In its illustrious history, ASA has launched the careers of many drivers,
including Mark Martin, Rusty Wallace, Dick Trickle and Johnny Benson. Current
stars of the ASA Racing Series, as well of those joining the circuit for the
first time, are well aware of the ASA's reputation for launching the careers
of several top NASCAR Winston Cup, Busch Grand National and Craftsman Truck
Series superstars.
Many other American stock car racing stars have gained ASA experience on
their way to national stardom. Darrell Waltrip, Kenny Wallace, Ted Musgrave,
Bobby Allison, the late Alan Kulwicki and the late Adam Petty brought their
racing dreams to ASA, and all have admitted the value of their tenure with
the series.
The stability of a corps of veteran drivers, coupled with an influx of new
talent, makes the ASA Racing Series appealing to companies and corporations
seeking a new marketing strategy. Just as ASA has served as "The Great
American Dream Series" for countless aspiring drivers, it can help companies
realize marketing dreams through the sponsorship of one of its teams.
